Brown Veggie Rice
Today’s Healthy Lunch or dinner recipe – Rich in fibre and idea is to eat more veggies than rice. Brilliant idea for kids lunch boxes and all who want to reduce weight.
Reducing weight should not be boring and stressful.
The flavour of mixed herb, basil and oregano and black pepper are amazing and different from our regular masala- and very healthy too.
Brown Rice half cup
Veggies- Broccoli 🥦 1/ 4 cup
Bell pepper 1/ 4 cup chopped
Tomato 1cup chopped
Carrot 🥕1/ 2 cup chopped
Green peas 1 / 4 cup
Corn 1 / 4 cup
Beans 1 / 4 cup chopped
Onion 1/4cup chopped
Purple cabbage -1/ 4 cup chopped
Cook rice and remove extra water by straining.
In kadai, add 1 sp. Olive oil or half sp. butter or ghee, sauté all veggies.
Add – mixed herbs, basil powder, oregano, Black pepper, black salt.
Mix and cook for 2 to 3 mins, add cooked rice and mix and let it cook for another two minutes.
Eat healthy and stay healthy.
Note : can add panner or soya panner ( tofu ) too.
Soya panner is not advisable for thyroid patients.
